ROMPOS 2012

RomPOS

ROMPOS 2012 is a latest-generation Point of Sale system, developed by Master Computers on the strength of the experience gained in retail.

The first POS system was developed in 2000. Since then the application has been improved continuously with new features, through annual updates. ROMPOS 2012, however, is a completely new application.

Main ROMPOS 2012 features

  • Sales operation with operator authentication by username and password, or by chip card or barcode card;
  • For card payments, POS terminals can be connected for selected banks;
  • Sales are made either by entering the product code (internal / PLU / multiple barcode) or by searching on the name (where the barcode cannot be read or does not exist), or directly by selecting from a shortcut list or from a product group;
  • Own barcodes can be defined;
  • Recording sales for loyalty or credit customer schemes;
  • Daily reports;
  • Data storage in the fiscal memory of the fiscal printer or of the cash register;
  • Communication with the fiscal printer or the cash register;
  • Printing of fiscal documents (fiscal receipts, Z report);
  • Operation in diagnostic and service modes;
  • Icons can be assigned to shortcuts;
  • Cash-up reports per POS and per user;
  • Void or free discount granted through authentication;
  • Connection to a scale, reading the weight directly from it and then selecting the product only from a list of weighable products;
  • Sale of weighable products by scanning scale labels;
  • Offline selling;
  • Multiple settings for discount and promotion schemes;
  • The POS can be used without a physical keyboard on touchscreen systems (virtual keyboard);
  • The POS can be used without a mouse (using keyboard shortcuts);
  • The current receipt can be parked;
  • Receipt cancellation (regardless of how many products were entered up to that point);
  • Points can be accumulated and redeemed, and reported directly from the POS;
  • Payment methods: cash, cheque, credit, credit cards. An unlimited number of payment methods can also be defined, with the option of duplicating the receipt (a non-fiscal copy of the fiscal receipt is issued automatically for certain payment methods);
  • Issuing a non-fiscal gift receipt copy (product values are not printed, only the product name and the quantity);
  • Goods return against the original receipt;
  • Stocktaking directly from the POS;
  • Selling against an order;
  • Invoicing from receipts;
  • Assigning a sales agent to a receipt;
  • Blocking sales below the purchase price;
  • Paying a single receipt with several payment methods;
  • Data transfer to and from the BackOffice application;
  • Audible alerts, in addition to the on-screen messages.
