The Zebra ZD230D is a desktop label printer with direct thermal printing, on a 4 inch width, offering extra features and reliability at an accessible price. It suits companies that need equipment which is simple to use but built to Zebra standards, with a low total cost of ownership over its whole life.
Unlike cheap entry-level printers, which use lower-quality components and give up under heavier duty cycles, the ZD230D is built with a double-wall construction and an all-metal printhead — components rarely found in this price category. The result is a printer built for many years of operation and a real return on investment.
Fast setup and simple integration
The ZD230D installs and starts printing straight out of the box. It can easily replace older printers that use the ZPL, EPL or other manufacturers' command languages, thanks to the emulation applications installed on the printer.
This configuration includes factory-installed USB and Ethernet, which supports network printing from several workstations or remotely — useful in warehouses, stores with several working points, or shipping offices.
Exactly the features you need
The printer prints fast, up to 152 mm per second, to keep up with the pace of work. The increased memory allows more fonts and graphics to be stored on the printer itself. A single status LED and a single feed/pause button make it intuitive to use and its state immediately obvious.
The OpenACCESS clamshell design allows the label roll to be changed quickly, with no tools and no disassembly.
Low energy consumption
The ZD230D is ENERGY STAR certified, which helps reduce running costs. It is powered from an auto-sensing supply, 100–240 VAC.

The printer runs the Link-OS Basic operating system and is supported by the Print DNA Basic application set:
