MARCOPOS 2000 uses EPSON MF Romania matrix printers, with the following main characteristics:

• MARCOPOS 2000 uses 2 row of 20 characters each as the client display. It can be installed within the POS structure - in case of the modular structure, or in other available space - in case of POS modular structure

MARCOPOS 2000 software application provides:

• sales operation
• daily reports
• service and diagnose
• daily sales verifying
• data archiving

As MARCOPOS 2000 has been developed as a flexible solution, running even on 386s with 4MB RAM, it contains certain specific characteristics such as:

• existence of an initial stock of the current month
• independent database for daily sales records of the current month. Data are archived at the end of the month and deleted after the month closure. Thus, the application runs with high speed as corresponding tables have a minimum number of records
• daily report of sales different from monthly reports; data are transferred to the server when daily closure takes place, thus minimizing data loss risk
• current stock is updated with with inputs and transactions in the current month
• local area network malfunctions do not affect the application. Sales can be transferred to the server according to the customer's request

MARCOPOS 2000 can also work with barcode scanners, software application providing the possibility to assign internal codes (generated by the user) to the original codes mentioned on each product.

BACKPOS application - optionally included into MARCOPOS 2000 - can be optimized according to the customers requests.

Standard facilities are:

• sales recording and management
• data transfer to workstations
• generates reports about stock, inputs, outputs, transfers

Reference time is the fiscal month. A final stock is generated at the end of the month, taken over by application that runs on workstation simultaneously with monthly closure.

More important, monthly closure on workstation can be performed only after monthly closure took place on the server and the final stock was generated.
